Next are metallurgy, textiles, petroleum, national defense, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. The glass industry is the largest consumer sector of soda ash, consuming 0.2 tons of soda ash per ton of glass. In industrial soda ash, the main industries are light industry, building materials, and chemical industry, accounting for about 2/3, followed by metallurgy, textiles, petroleum, national defense, medicine, and other industries.
Our company's main industrial soda ash has two properties, heavy soda ash and light soda ash. Heavy soda ash is in granular form, while light soda ash is in powder form. Generally, the density of light soda ash is 500-600kg/m3, heavy soda ash is 1000-1200kg/m3, ultra light soda ash is around 370kg/m3, and ultra heavy soda ash is 1550-2553kg/m3. Light soda ash is mainly produced by the ammonia alkali method, using raw salt and limestone as raw materials to produce light soda ash through chemical synthesis, and then producing heavy soda ash through solid-phase water method. Heavy soda ash is mainly produced by natural alkali method, using natural alkali as raw material and producing heavy soda ash through evaporation or carbonization method. By using the hydration process to make sodium carbonate contain crystalline water, its particle size can be changed to facilitate downstream glass manufacturing industry use.
